Derrick brings a decade of federal facilities, contracting, and infrastructure management experience shaped by his service as a U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant and his subsequent career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. His background includes oversight of large-scale capital improvements, life-safety systems, utilities infrastructure, and secure-facility construction projects, where he served as both a Facilities Manager and certified Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). Derrick has managed complex roofing replacements, security upgrades, PLC and locking-hardware modernizations, asbestos abatement programs, and critical utilities renovations across multiple high-security federal sites. His responsibilities routinely included contract compliance, quality assurance, stakeholder coordination, access control, safety oversight, and documentation through final acceptance. With deep hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, and physical security systems, Derrick brings a mission-focused, operations-driven approach to ensuring that federal projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with all regulatory and security standards.
