Strengthening Steam System Reliability Across VISN 7

US2 has supported VISN 7 facilities for more than a decade with comprehensive steam system audits, upgrades, and long-term monitoring services. Our work has enhanced steam distribution reliability across multiple medical centers, including system assessments, steam trap replacements, networked steam monitoring technology, and customized preventative-maintenance service agreements. Through multi-year VISN-wide programs, US2 has helped energy managers reduce losses, improve reporting accuracy, and strengthen overall system performance—ensuring safer, more efficient operations for veterans and staff.

  • Installed and serviced Armstrong SteamEye® monitoring systems with integrated SAGE data networks to improve steam performance and reporting accuracy.
  • Provided multi-year VISN-wide maintenance programs, including remote monitoring, trap servicing, and equipment surveys to sustain system reliability.
  • Identified and logged steam losses—including leaks in valves, flanges, fittings, and piping—to support energy optimization across the VISN.
  • VISN 1 Multi-Campus Steam System Maintenance Program

US2 supports VISN 1 through a dedicated steam system maintenance program serving the West Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, and Brockton VA Medical Centers. Our team provides ongoing monitoring of steam traps across each campus using the Armstrong SteamEye monitoring platform and secure data interface. Through proactive performance tracking, system assessments, and coordinated service response, we help ensure reliable steam distribution, improved safety, and reduced energy waste—supporting uninterrupted patient care across these critical New England facilities.
